Mission Peak taken from horse heaven trail... Wisdom card of the day; I am in harmony with all of the people, places, and things that surround me in this world. I am at peace.
Tomorrow I leave for Utah to run the Wasatch 100. Please send me positive vibes my friends. XOXO, Catra
Here are some super good vibes for you!!!!! *!*!*!*!*!*!* !*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!*!
In case you don't get the UltraList emails, thought you'd appreciate knowing that yesterday someone suggested you for the cover of Trail Runner! Pretty cool, huh?!?!?
Good luck Catra!! I was supposed to be there as well but am in rehab. Bunch of good thoughts sent your way. Will be thinking of everyone along the way. 8) Moogy
Just dropped by from BirthdayChallenge.com. Great site. I love Mission peak. I used to train a lot on it before bumbling in the Sierras. I would love to know your time up the hill, it would blow my mind!
I'm not that fast.. I think maybe 45 min. I usually go Horse Heave which is longer and it takes me 1 hour 10 min. I don't really time myself. I just know it takes me around 4:45-5:30 to run 20 miles to Sunol and back. I always know I have 5:30 hours becouse I have to hurry and get to work when I run it on Thursdays& Sundays. Catra
Wow, run 20 miles to Sunol and back. I can't really even imagine ultra running, I'm glad you get such a kick out of it!
Mission Peak is one of my favorite places as well. I had this unbelievably great friend, my dog, whose ashes I scattered at the summit. He died at 4 with cancer, but he probably had been with me there hundreds of times, some great memories.
I am an Ultrarunner. I love to run, my favorite distance is 100 miles. My running takes me to many beautiful places. Life is too short to sit around.
I collect tattoos. I have over 50 tattoos.
I have been clean and sober for 17 years.
